Dirteater= bounces back from injury to l= ead PBR Challenge

Teams CNB, THNB share first-round victory in Da= isy Protection Bullfight Tour event

 

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – A look at the Professional Bull Riders website reveals that Ryan Dirteater is injured.

On Friday night during the = opening performance of the two-night Texas Heritage National Bank PBR Challenge presented by Priefert Ranch Equipment and Pro-<= span class=3DSpellE>Trak Trailers benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, Dirteater made a point of telling = the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center crowd that he is perfectly sound.

The Hulbert, Okla., man was one of just two cowboys= to earn two qualified rides, and his 171 cumulative score has him on top of the PBR Touring Pro event leaderboard. Luis Blanco = of Irving, Texas, finished Friday night with 157 points and is second heading into the final performance, set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

But there was plenty of act= ion in the civic center on opening night. Not only did Dirtea= ter take the lead – he scored 89 points in the first round and 82.5 in the short go-round – but the competition in the Professional Bullfights D= aisy Protection Bullfight Tour ended with two teams atop the leaderboard: Team City National Bank and Team Texas Heritage National Bank with 114 poin= ts each.

Team CNB is represented by = Chad Dowdy of Bristow, Okla., and Evan Allard= of Vinita, Okla., wh= ile Team THNB features Dusty Tuckness of Meeteetse, Wyo.,= and Ross Hill of Muscle Shoals, Ala. Both teams were just seven points better than T= eam Guaranty Bond Bank, Dave Jantzi of Sugar Creek,= Ohio, and Anthony Moore of Council Hill, Okla. Team Lonestar= Dodge, Jason Magditch of Revere, Pa., and Brodie Nelson of Perry, Ark., slid into the fourth-pl= ace spot with 105 points, followed by Team Alliance Bank, Lance McIlvain of Arlington, Texas, and Pat Riha of Stuart, Ne= b., which finished with 96 points.
